For most of us what does it mean to create…to produce…to capture…to express… to extract every sensational, electrifying consciousness within us and to articulate this to the world around us. At one moment it can be so vividly antagonistic and at the same time, so liberating and emancipating. It is not an easy job by no means for any artist, but it’s what allows us to be us, intoxicated with adventure, capable of enunciating how we perceive the ambience around us. When I first came across RAW Austin, I was unbelievably overwhelmed. Not only do they incorporate the very essence of being a natural born artist, but they provide several opportunities for artists to really promote their work through very affordable and achievable artist exchange programs throughout the country. Their mission stands to “handpick and spotlight local artistic talent in film, fashion, music, visual art, hair and makeup artistry, and performance art”. The idea is to bring these collective artists together to form an incredible one night circus of creativity.
